During the 2008/09 year Cybertip.ca received nearly 7,600 reports, equating to nearly 14,000 incidents, of child sexual exploitation - the highest reporting year to date.

Statistics

Cybertip.ca has a sophisticated system of gathering data, and has become a leading source of information on online child sexual exploitation. We share our statistics with government, industry, and law enforcement to assist in developing strategies to combat child sexual exploitation and keep children safer.

To date Cybertip.ca reports have resulted in at least 62 arrests, as well as a number of children being removed from abusive environments.



Note: Approximately 42% of Cybertip.ca's reports are forwarded to international law enforcement agencies via the NCECC.
